On Hold Plus

On Hold Plus, also known under their corporate name, Intellitouch, is the most popular and well known brand of on hold equipment manufacturers.  Although their product lineup has included CD download models such as the OHP 7000, this page will focus on their more recent music on hold mp3 players, the OHP 6000 and the OHP 8000.  The On Hold Plus 8000 or OHP 8000 is their most recent model, which we will devote most of our attention to.  As with any music on hold player, you need either a phone system on hold music input (typically found on pbx phone systems), or standard phones with a music on hold adapter.On-Hold-Plus-OHP-8000-on-hold-player

  • The OHP 8000 or On Hold Plus 8000
    The OHP 8000 is the top of the line in the On Hold Plus lineup.  The OHP 8000 plays standard mp3 files.  Like many of its competitors the OHP 8000 includes a standard usb flash drive or thumb drive to transfer, store and playback your music and messages on hold.  Just about all the on hold companies currently doing business support delivery of their on hold productions in mp3 format.  If your provider does not support music on hold mp3 content, it may be time to look for a new provider!  The OHP 8000 does not have any display.  Its controls are simply a power/volume knob, monitor speaker switch, and a switch to adjust the audio output for certain phone systems.  This simplicity makes for a very easy to use product.  Best of all, there are no moving parts to break or wear…non-volatile memory means it retains its recorded content, even after power failure.  The OHP 8000 carries a three year warranty.  You can purchase the OHP 8000 online here.
  • The OHP 6000 or On Hold Plus 6000
    The OHP 6000 was the predecessor to the OHP 8000. Like the OHP8000, the OHP6000 plays standard music on hold mp3 files.  Unlike the OHP 8000, the OHP 6000 uses an SD card slot or direct usb connection to a pc in order to load or update your on hold productions.  Because the new OHP 8000 is so much easier and more convenient to use with its built usb flash drive support, we strongly recommend the OHP 8000 vs the OHP 6000.
