Cell Phone Music On Hold

Up until recently it was not possible to have cell phone music on hold. Most people still assume it is impossible since there is no “hold button” on a cell phone. However, there is a way to provide music on hold or music and messages on hold on your cell phone using a virtual pbx service that rings your cell phone.

How Cell Phone Music On Hold WorksVirtual Phone Service for Your Business
A virtual pbx system like that from Ring Central can give you cell phone music on hold capabilities, without any need for music on hold equipment. You will still need a music on hold wav or music on hold mp3 depending on the Virtual PBX service you use. Your music and messages on hold are then uploaded into your virtual pbx online control panel.

To activate you cell phone music on hold, you simply press the pound key twice. The Ring Central service will then prompt you with options such as transferring the call, or having your caller continue to hold. When you discontinue having your caller hold, you can then continue speaking with them normally. The entire time your caller is on hold, they will be hearing whatever on hold music you have uploaded and selected in your online control panel. That is all there is to it!
